Button of the Moment…

…is a series of button images to celebrate our members’ button collections.

The first in this new series is from our very own President, Alison Palmer.

This button also complements the newly released book ‘SATSUMA BUTTONS AND BUCKLES’ by AKIKO NISHIDA AND NANCY BANK ALLEN as featured in the latest issue of Button Lines Issue 183.

Satsuma - Simply exquisite

This is an exceptional example of a Satsuma with an intricate aquatic and flower design.

The button measures 54mm or 2 1/8 inches and the backmark is the recognised ‘Satsuma mon’ - a red circle with a red cross in it.
